About the role
Analyze business and technical requirements to understand application functionality. Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data. Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing. Identify, document, track, and retest software defects. Perform API testing using tools such as Postman. Conduct database validation using SQL queries. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using suitable testing frameworks. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to resolve issues. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and defect review meetings. Maintain test documentation and prepare test execution reports. Ensure applications meet functional, performance, usability, and quality standards.
What you'll do
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
- Experience in manual testing and test case design.
- Knowledge of defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with API testing and SQL database validation.
- Understanding of regression, integration, and system testing.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
What we're looking for
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Exposure to cloud-based applications and cross-browser testing.
