Senior Software Architect

About the role

Key Responsibilities Define and maintain end-to-end software architecture for complex enterprise applications. Translate business requirements into technical architecture, system designs, and implementation strategies. Design scalable, highly available, secure, and maintainable applications. Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology stacks, frameworks, tools, and architectural patterns. Establish architecture standards, coding guidelines, design principles, and engineering best practices. Design microservices-based systems, distributed applications, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures where appropriate. Define database architecture, data models, integration strategies, and data access patterns. Lead cloud architecture and deployment strategy across Azure, AWS, or other relevant cloud platforms. Guide technical teams in implementing architecture and resolving complex engineering challenges. Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, technical assessments, and design walkthroughs. Identify performance bottlenecks, scalability risks, security vulnerabilities, and technical debt. Ensure adherence to security, compliance, reliability, maintainability, and performance requirements. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, project managers, and clients to clarify technical requirements. Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, technology feasibility, implementation costs, and long-term maintainability. Define integration approaches for third-party platforms, enterprise systems, and external services. Establish DevOps, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and automated testing strategies in collaboration with engineering teams. Mentor technical leads and senior developers and promote engineering excellence. Explore emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development, AI integrations, and LLM-powered solutions, where relevant to business needs.

What you'll do

• Extensive experience in software development, system design, and architecture.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of C#, .NET Core / modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, or comparable enterprise development technologies.
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, including layered architecture, clean architecture, domain-driven design, and microservices.
• Expertise in API design, system integration, distributed systems, and service communication.
• Experience designing and optimizing relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and familiarity with NoSQL databases where required.
• Strong knowledge of scalability, availability, fault tolerance, caching, asynchronous processing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure software development.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, containerization, and deployment automation.
• Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and make architecture decisions aligned with business requirements.
• Strong documentation skills for architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and architecture decision records.

What we're looking for

• Experience with enterprise architecture and large-scale application modernization.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, messaging systems, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and production reliability practices.
• Exposure to AI/ML integrations, LLM-based applications, AI agents, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Experience with frontend technologies such as Angular or React.
• Experience in technical consulting, client discussions, solution estimation, and presales support.
• Familiarity with architectural governance, cloud cost optimization, and DevSecOps practices.
